Andrew Altman has been named chief executive of the 2012 Olympics legacy delivery company.
Altman has worked on major regeneration programmes in the USA and was the first person to combine the roles of deputy mayor for planning and economic development and director of commerce in Philadelphia. As planning director for Washington DC he headed the city's Anacostia River waterfront project.
