Sussex riverside development blocked

A mixed-use development in an East Sussex conservation area was dismissed despite the scheme offering significant improvements to flood defences and improvements to the public realm.

The scheme involved building 66 apartments and three commercial units. It would also provide for a flood wall on the west bank of the river Ouse and a river walkway...
