DC Casebook: Commercial and industrial - Design studio ruled out in rural location

The owners of a barn in the Lake District have failed to persuade an inspector that a detached barn is suitable for conversion to a landscape architect's design studio.

The inspector decided that travel to and from the site would be by car as there was no public transport and it would take too long to walk or cycle....
