Agency announces first-time buyer investment

National regeneration agency English Partnerships is to spend £300 million on stakes in new homes to give first time buyers a chance to get a foot on the housing ladder.

The scheme, launched last week, is the first part of a £750 million effort to give 15,000 households a chance to own a share of their own home by 2010....
