Self-build: US's Tutti Frutti development in Manchester
Developer Urban Splash has been forced to make nearly a quarter of its workforce redundant, the company has confirmed.
Sixty of the Manchester-based company's 280 staff have been layed-off as a result of the recent economic downturn, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The cuts have taken place across the Urban Splash Group's company.
"The immediacy of the downturn caught us by surprise," the spokeswoman said.
