Mace
A vision for regeneration
Mace is the driving force behind some of the UK's most ambitious and challenging urban regeneration schemes and is helping its clients turn visions and aspirations into projects which make a real and lasting difference. Mace provides expert programme, project and development management at every stage in the regeneration process - actively engaging with the public sector, the private sector and the local community from concept to completion.
The CLM consortium made up of CH2M HILL, Laing O'Rourke and Mace has been appointed as the Olympic Delivery Authority's Delivery Partner, consolidating Mace's position as the UK's premier programme and project management company with a reputation for rethinking construction and reinvigorating urban environments and communities. Our experience, vision and planning will prove pivotal in creating a long-term sustainable use for the Games' facilities and accommodation beyond 2012.
Perhaps our most iconic current project, the Shard London Bridge, is also providing a regeneration vision for the London Borough of Southwark. This ‘vertical city' will include redevelopment and improvements to London Bridge station and its environs.
Mace was named Regeneration Consultant of the Year at the inaugural Regeneration Awards in 2004, has won Project Manager/Construction Manager of the Year four times in the last six years at the Building Awards and was named the overall winner at the 2006 MT/Unisys Service Excellence Awards.
Employment opportunities
Mace attracts, motivates and inspires high quality people who deliver excellent services to their customers. In November 2003 Mace was awarded recognition as an Investor in People. The assessment was based on interviews with Mace employees who gave their views about their experiences and perceptions of the way that Mace develops its staff. It is therefore a great achievement for Mace to have recognition from a standard which reinforces the fact that people are a company's greatest asset. Mace was also recognised as an excellent employer in the Sunday Times ‘100 Best Companies To Work For', being ranked 46th.
Graduate opportunities
Careers at Mace are structured and supported. Our graduate training programme offers first class professional experience with a competitive reward package in a stimulating, and dynamic environment, which is supplemented by in-house training modules. If you have, or are working towards, a degree in regeneration or construction related disciplines and wish to work in a company which values your communication skills, creativity, resilience, independence and adaptability, Mace would like to hear from you.
Career development
Mace recognises that its employees are its key resource in achieving its vision to be the best management and construction company serving customers worldwide. The company is committed to promoting and enabling the learning and development of its staff. Mace aims to develop highly skilled people to their full potential, to meet the changing needs of the business. The company implements a well developed package of induction, appraisal, career development and mentoring schemes to ensure staff needs are identified and supported and that knowledge and experience are shared throughout the company.
