Regeneration & Renewal, 25 April 2008
The Government's housing growth agenda and environmental sustainability in the built environment will be the focus of a second national design review conference held by the Government's design watchdog.
The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (Cabe) event, entitled Inspiring Excellence in Design Review, is aimed at members of design review panels who are looking to improve their analytical skills or explore current trends in urban design.
The one day event will involve a series of seminars and practical workshops.
Confirmed speakers include: John Callcutt, former chief executive of national regeneration agency English Partnerships and author of a recent government review of housebuilding delivery; Bill Hanway, regional vice-president of consultancy Edaw Europe and Cabe design review panel member; and Chris Twinn, director at consultancy Arup and another Cabe design review panel member.
The event will take place on 18 June. For further information, contact Cabe on (tel) 020 7070 6812 or (email) drconference@cabe.org.uk, or visit the website at www.cabe.org.uk.
