As this summer's silly season entered full swing, the tabloids carried terrifying stories of killer tropical jellyfish, which have invaded Britain's beaches. According to the Daily Mirror, 19 Portuguese Man o' War jellyfish - which can "kill with a single sting" - have washed up on holiday beaches in the South-West of England in August alone.
