Sheffield City Council to receive further money

Sheffield City Council is to receive a further £18.7 million this year following a favourable report by the Audit Commission on its arms-length management organisation. Sheffield Homes, which manages 58,000 homes on behalf of the local authority, was praised for tackling anti-social behaviour, offering tenants more choice and a wide range of rent paying options.
Network launched to help people in regeneration

Inspire East, funded by the East of England Development Agency, ODPM and agencies including the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment, is intended to raise skills and spread good practice in the region.
