The European Commission has raised concerns over the level of financial checks being carried out on European Regional Development Fund projects in western and eastern Scotland, it emerged this week. The Scottish Executive said it is re-evaluating its auditing processes as a result.
Blor for Littlecombe

Housebuilder Blor Homes has been chosen to build the first new homes in Littlecombe, a flagship regeneration scheme by the South-West Regional Development Agency. The developer will build 74 of the overall 600 new homes planned on the former Lister Petter site in Dursley, Gloucestershire. All of the new homes will be built to the Eco-homes 'excellent' standard.
Burnley College wins Campus funding

The Northwest Regional Development Agency has pledged £10 million for a new campus at Burnley College to catalyse regeneration in the area. The University of Central Lancashire has also announced the success of its bid for £10 million from the Higher Education Funding Council for England to set up operations in Burnley.
