Appointment at Westminster City Council

Rosemarie MacQueen has been appointed director of planning and city development at Westminster City Council. MacQueen, who joined the authority in 1979 as a design officer, was previously head of city development. She will oversee some of central London's largest developments, including schemes at Middlesex Hospital and Chelsea Barracks. She replaces Gordon Chard, who has retired.
