Savills advises Cambridge Regional College

Savills's Cambridge team is to advise Cambridge Regional College on development and planning matters concerning its proposed move to a single campus next to the Cambridge Science Park to the north of the city. The college plans to leave its 1.6ha riverside site to consolidate its activities at its Kings Hedges Road site. It will build accommodation for its hospitality and catering, hairdressing and management and professional programmes. Talks are continuing about appointing a development partner with a view to submitting a planning application to Cambridge City Council early in the new year.
Turley Associates is relocating in Leeds city centre

Turley Associates is relocating to premises in Leeds city centre to accommodate its growth and strengthen its regional presence. The Park Place office is in the office quarter, close to the city's railway station. Turley's Leeds team now has 14 staff including three directors. Much of its core business is centred on projects in Leeds and other Yorkshire towns including Harrogate and York. The company has recently seen an increase in project work in Sheffield and South Yorkshire, Humberside and Teesside. A spokesman for the firm said that the move reinforces its commitment to city centre business.

A BID to be established in Liverpool City Centre

A Business Improvement District (BID) is to be established in Liverpool City Centre following a 62 per cent 'yes' vote in a ballot of local firms last week. It is hoped that the BID will generate £3 million of investment for the city centre over the next three years to help prepare Liverpool for its European Capital of Culture year in 2008.
Appointment at Welland Sub-regional Strategic Partnership

Geoff Plummer has been appointed as executive director of rural regeneration agency the Welland Sub-regional Strategic Partnership in the East Midlands. He has worked for Welland SSP for three years and succeeds Chris Farmer, who retains his role as company secretary and is taking a seat on the partnership's board.
