A £100 million development in the eastern sector of Leeds city centre has been given the go-ahead by the city council. The Caddick Developments scheme seeks to convert the Quarry Hill area, once the site of Europe's biggest social housing scheme, into a prestigious cultural destination and a prominent business and residential district. Plans include six multi-storey buildings with offices, leisure facilities, housing and a 500-space car park. Quarry Hill is home to Leeds College of Music, the West Yorkshire Playhouse, BBC North and the Northern Ballet Company. Knight Frank acted as planning consultant.
