Lord Coe, Plymouth City Council and Transform South Yorkshire are among the winners of the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment's Festive Five awards, announced this week. The awards highlight the people and organisations who have achieved the most for good design in 2004 and are likely to go on and champion design in 2005. Lord Coe and his Olympic bid design team were commended for their "world-class masterplan", Plymouth was praised for its city masterplan and Transform South Yorkshire was highlighted for its design quality project. Other winners include Wakefield City Council, Arup and AMEC Group and Daniel Moylan, deputy leader at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
