The council is investigating whether current population estimates reflect migration trends and whether the figures are an appropriate basis for local authority funding.
Plans unveiled for White City

Plans for a huge shopping centre in White City were unveiled last week. The Westfield Centre forms part of a £1.6 billion regeneration project. The 150,000m2 mall would house an atrium for live events, restaurants, shops, parking spaces, a cinema and other leisure facilities. Retail property company Westfield aims to open the west London centre in 2008.
