Bill Kirkup has been named as food procurement coordinator for north-east England by regional development agency One NorthEast and the North East Centre of Excellence. Leeds Council backs ALMOs

Leeds City Council is backing an option for three housing arms-length management organisations (ALMOs) in a vote of its 72,000 council house tenants. Residents are being asked to choose either one city-wide ALMO or three smaller ones. There are currently six ALMOs managing the council's housing stock.
