The proposed changes will provide a framework for regeneration organisation Sunderland Arc. Its plans include developing 1,000 apartments and offices on the derelict Vaux site. It has also proposed a city centre retail scheme at Holmeside and a leisure development at Stadium Park.

Programme to rejuvenate communities in Aberdeen

A £500 million programme to rejuvenate six communities in Aberdeen was unveiled for community consultation this week. The proposals to regenerate Cummings Park, Middlefield, Woodside, Tillydrone, Torry and Seaton were launched by consultancy DTZ and architects HTA, which are working with the city council and Aberdeen City Alliance. The plans aim to deliver improved housing, shopping and community facilities, green spaces and streetscapes for around 28,000 people.
