Two cultural projects secured

Two cultural projects have secured more than £60 million from the Northwest Development Agency. National Museums Liverpool will receive £32.7 million to develop the Museum of Liverpool in the city's world heritage site. Another £30 million has been confirmed for a media enterprise zone in Greater Manchester. The zone forms a key part of the BBC's proposals to relocate a significant proportion of its commissioning and production activity to the region.
