Masterplan to be drawn up by EDAW

A masterplan to create a model sustainable community in Stoke-on-Trent is to be drawn up by EDAW. The blueprint will help guide development on a 50ha site south of the city centre around the Caldon Canal. English Partnerships, RENEW North Staffordshire, the Housing Corporation, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, the North Staffordshire Regeneration Zone and British Waterways have formed a partnership to develop the City Waterside scheme.
Development agreement formalised

A development agreement for the second phase of Birmingham's City Park Gate regeneration project has been formalised. The joint venture between Countryside Properties, Quintain and Birmingham City Council will see a £100 million-plus mixed-use scheme built over 2.3ha to complement the first phase of the mixed-use Masshouse project. City Park Gate will provide 608 apartments, of which 152 will be affordable, around 11,612m2 of office accommodation and 9,754m2 of shopping space.
