The London Development Agency has asked police to investigate apparent accounting irregularities in an organisation it funds. Between 2005 and 2007 the LDA paid grants of £535,262 to arts training group Brixton Base. But the body's books only account for £464,144 of the cash. Brixton Base is the sixth body receiving LDA funds to be referred to the police.
