The West Midlands is to gain what is believed to be the country's first regional design advisory service to encourage better development. Design Review West Midlands has been set up to plug the gaps in design advice for developers within local authorities. But Midlands Architecture and Design Environment stressed that the panel, based on the Commission of Architecture and Built Environment model, "is not the style police".
