Mainland Contractors to undertake work for Corby station

Urban regeneration company North Northants Development Company and national regeneration agency English Partnerships have appointed Mainland Contractors to undertake the infrastructure works for Corby's new railway station. Mainland Contractors will coordinate the delivery of the necessary civil engineering works before construction of the station and platform can begin.
Bioregional Quintain appoints Hall Construction Services

Building firm Hall Construction Services has been appointed by developer Bioregional Quintain to deliver public realm works at the first phase of Middlesbrough's Riverside One development. The works include installing lighting, street furniture and creating a public performance space and events square.
HBG Construction appointed by Newcastle-under-Lyme College

Newcastle-under-Lyme College has appointed developer HBG Construction to design and build its new college building. The structure will cover 18,300sq metres and include an auditorium, a large courtyard, and additional sports hall and playing fields. The new buildings will include external lighting powered by wind turbines and biofuel boilers powered by rape-seed oil.
Teams selected for designs in competition

Six design teams have been selected to draw up initial designs for the redevelopment of a factory site in Uttoxeter in a competition organised by the Royal Institute of British Architects. The design teams selected include a team comprising Bauman Lyons Architects, Arup, Witraz and Latz and Partner Architects.
