Sir James Crosby has been appointed chair of growth strategy the Northern Way's new Private Investment Commission. Crosby, the deputy chair of the Financial Services Authority and former chief executive of Halifax Bank of Scotland, will lead the commission, which has been charged with identifying barriers to greater investment in the North.
