Number of empty homes in England rises

The number of empty homes in England has risen for the first time in nine years, according to figures published by campaigning charity the Empty Homes Agency. The number of empty homes is 672,924: an increase of nearly 10,000 over the last year. Leeds and Liverpool have seen some of the biggest rises. The statistics are available via www.regen.net/doc.
