Farrells chosen for Westminster redevelopment

Westminster City Council and property firm Knight Frank have appointed architects Farrells to design a project on the site of the former North Westminster Community School, near Paddington Basin in central London. The aim of the housing and commercial development is to create a new urban centre, Farrells said.
First Base and Orion Land selected for Romford scheme

The London Borough of Havering has selected developers First Base and Orion Land & Leisure for a mixed-use scheme in central Romford that will include an ice rink, swimming pool and 500 homes, some of which will be for social rent or key worker housing.
Taylor Woodrow wins preferred bidder status

Construction firm Taylor Woodrow has won preferred bidder status from rail operator Network Rail for the western concourse redevelopment at London's King's Cross station. The project aims to create an 8,000sq-metre concourse, three times the size of the present one.
