London boroughs stand to lose £130 million in funding over the next three years due to "inaccurate" population figures, the umbrella body for the capital's councils said last week. London Councils said that changes to the way the Government calculates councils' populations have resulted in new projections for London's population that are 100,000 lower than previous estimates.
