Appointment at The London Borough of Hackney

The London Borough of Hackney has appointed Fiona Fletcher-Smith to lead the council's new neighbourhoods and regeneration directorate, covering safer communities, regeneration and housing. Smith was previously assistant director of regeneration and housing strategy at the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
Appointment at Yorkshire Dales Access Forum

Geoff Wilson has been appointed as chairman of the Yorkshire Dales Access Forum, a statutory group that advises the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority on ways to improve public access. Wilson is also a member of the Lake District National Park Authority's trail management advisory group.

Alan Cole has been appointed as chairman of the board of the Notting Hill Housing Trust in west London. He replaces Gerard Lemos who has taken up a professorship at a university in China.

Appointment at The Development Trusts Association

The Development Trusts Association has appointed Jackie Summerville as regional development officer for the east Midlands. Summerville was previously a graduate assistant to a professor of public policy at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. In her new post she will be responsible for delivering the region's action plan, promoting community enterprise and supporting funding applications.
