Catalyst Corby secures funding for the Corby Enterprise Centre

Urban regeneration company Catalyst Corby has secured £7 million of funding for the Corby Enterprise Centre. The centre will house 39 offices, 25 workshops, a cafe and meeting rooms. The funding has come from the East Midlands Development Agency, Corby Borough Council and the Northamptonshire Partnership.
Edwina Hart announces funding for community projects across Wales

Welsh social justice and regeneration minister Edwina Hart last week announced £5.6 million of funding for 58 community projects across Wales as part of the Community Facilities and Activities funding programme. The programme is designed to help community or voluntary groups to provide facilities or carry out activities that promote neighbourhood regeneration.
Yorkshire Forward grants funding towards aviation training academy

Regional development agency Yorkshire Forward is granting £6.55 million towards an airport and aviation employment and training academy at Robin Hood Doncaster-Sheffield International Airport. The academy will be situated in a hangar close to the airport's runway and will train students in a wide variety of skills from cabin crew work to aircraft maintenance.

The owners of Hale Leys Shopping Centre have signed a collaborative agreement with Aylesbury Vale District Council to develop the retail element of a waterside redevelopment scheme. Property Investment company Warner Estate is to design a department and food store to form part of the existing shopping centre in the multi million pound scheme.
Accent Property Solutions secures contract

Bradford-based Accent Property Solutions has secured the contract to manage 650 apartments being developed as part of the Gateway mixed-use scheme in Leeds. The company will be responsible for the management of the whole Gateway site, including public space. It is the largest ever project taken on by the group.
Nine private companies to provide accommodation to asylum seekers

Nine private companies are to provide accommodation to asylum seekers in need of housing under new regional contracts awarded by the Home Office. The nine bodies - including Refugee Housing Association and YMCA Glasgow - will provide homes through the National Asylum Support Service.
Mixed-use city centre development in St Albans

A mixed-use city centre development in St Albans is to be developed by project management company Concept. The proposed £40 million scheme, called The Place, includes a seven-screen 913 seat cinema complex, two restaurants, 172 apartments, and car parking spaces. The developers says the scheme is intended to improve the street scene, replacing an "existing eye sore car park" and refurbishing and expanding office and retail space.
