More than 20 west London community groups have been awarded up to £2,000 each by a New Deal for Communities (NDC) partnership to complement its work around health, young people, employment and neighbourhood services. North Fulham NDC is backing sports clubs, environmental groups, parents and health groups.

A national campaign against cash machine charges has been launched by charity Citizens Advice. Research by the charity found that a quarter of people use a charging cash machine at least once a week, but 40 per cent say they were not warned in advance of the charge.
Highlands community groups to receive funds for event

Community groups in the Highlands and Islands will receive £1.12 million to take part in Highland 2007 - an event to celebrate Highland culture. The funding aims to help the groups decide how local culture should be celebrated in their area in 2007.
