Nottingham awarded one star

Nottingham City Council's arms-length housing service could miss out on £165 million of government funding after being awarded only one star in an Audit Commission assessment. Commission inspectors awarded Nottingham City Homes a 'fair' one star rating on a scale of zero to three.

A Leicester New Deal for Communities partnership has voted to remove a resident director from its board for the second time after concluding he has "seriously breached" the directors' code of conduct. Braunstone Community Association's board voted to remove John Davie last week.

A planning application has been submitted for a scheme to transform a 5ha waterfront site in Huddersfield. DLG Architects' proposals for the Waterfront Quarter include 69,675sq metres of commercial and residential development.
