A neighbourhood masterplan for Worsbrough in Barnsley is to be prepared by Taylor Young. The company has been commissioned by Berneslai Homes to work on the project, which aims to tackle low demand and create a strong, balanced community. It will produce a strategic physical framework for housing-led intervention and develop three specific area intervention plans.
Planning advice for Barking to be provided by Hepher Dixon

Planning advice on the regeneration of Barking town square in east London is to be provided by Hepher Dixon. Appointed by Redrow Regeneration, the firm will work on the initial phase of the renewal, which includes a lifelong learning centre and 250 homes designed by architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris. Later phases feature more homes, shops and office space.
Haley Sharpe Design to explore development plans

Plans to develop a heritage centre and railway restoration workshops in the Staffordshire Moorlands are to be explored by Haley Sharpe Design. The scheme aims to attract more visitors to the Churnet Valley Railway, which runs between Froghall and Leekbrook Junction and already draws around 50,000 people a year. The design consultancy forms part of a team that includes PHT Consultants, Latham Architects and the Centre for Accessible Environments.
Enfusion to evaluate assessment

Consultancy Enfusion is to evaluate the quality of life assessment for the Countryside Agency, English Heritage, English Nature and the Environment Agency. The assessment is a tool for carrying out sustainability appraisals to help maximise the environmental, economic and social benefits of land-use and management decisions. The study will examine how the technique compares to other environmental assessment tools.
