The Government is providing £6 million to fund opportunities for disadvantaged young people to develop new skills by getting involved in a range of media projects, in particular by promoting their involvement in TV and radio production. A national competition is also being launched in 2006/07 to recognise and reward innovative projects run by young people for young people.
