Homes planned for former hospital site

Homes planned for a former hospital site in Coxheath, near Maidstone, Kent, will be built to the Government's Design for Manufacture competition standards. A consortium including developers Crest Nicholson and architects Sheppard Robson has been announced as the preferred developer for the 3.9ha scheme. The competition challenges builders to erect high-quality homes for a cost of £60,000.

Government targets on e-planning

The vast majority of local planning authorities have surpassed Government targets on e-planning, according to a report this week by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
