Jason Evans has joined planning and regeneration consultancy Hepher Dixon's Cardiff office as a principle planner. Catherine Asquith has joined the consultancy's Leeds office as assistant planner. She has recently completed her postgraduate studies at the University of Sheffield.

Community learning charity ContinYou has appointed Laurence Blackhall as chief executive. Blackhall previously worked for the Department for Education and Skills with responsibility for the Neighbourhood Nurses initiative and Out of School Childcare Programme. Ian Caulfield CBE has also been appointed as ContinYou's chair of trustees.

Chris Odgers has been appointed as associate director of urban design at town planning practice Terence O'Rourke. In his new role Odgers will work on major urban regeneration schemes and large-scale masterplans.
