Nick Gerrard has joined Manchester Enterprises, the economic development agency for Greater Manchester, as deputy chief executive. Gerrard joins on a two-year secondment from the North-West Regional Development Agency, where he has worked for five years.

Lee Clayton has taken charge of the newly-combined management structures of two Nottinghamshire NHS local improvement finance trusts. Clayton - who has 20 years' experience in the construction industry - will be chief executive of Greater Nottingham Local Improvement Finance Trust Company (LIFTCo) and North Nottinghamshire LIFTCo. The organisations were set up over the past two years to regenerate the area's medical facilities.

Bedfordshire County Council has appointed Mark Bailey as its green space implementation officer. He will be responsible for the Chalk Arc initiative monitoring the quality of new green space across the north Chilterns.
Appointment at Riverside Inverclyde

Urban regeneration company Riverside Inverclyde has appointed Bill Nicol as chief executive. Nicol is currently director of Scottish Enterprise project Clyde Regeneration, which will run for ten years and is intended to provide 2,500 homes, 2,500 jobs and 49,200 sq metres of business accommodation.
