Appointment at new youth volunteering charity

Rod Aldridge has been appointed chair of a new, yet to be named, youth volunteering charity that will be responsible for implementing the recommendations of the Russell Commission on young people's volunteering (see Funding and Finance News, p5). Aldridge is also executive chairman of The Capita Group, which offers business support services. The charity will be formally launched in spring 2006.
Appointment at Eventus

Cultural planning agency Eventus has appointed Catherine Mailhac as project manager. Mailhac, who specialises in community involvement with arts and heritage, has worked with Eventus over the last two and a half years on its Beighton-based Full Circle project.

Regional development agency Yorkshire Forward has appointed Kath Pinnock as a local authority representative on its board. She has been leader of Kirklees Metropolitan Council since June 2000 and will replace Eileen Bosomworth who is retiring.
