The Big Lottery Fund awards money to the Cart y Plwyf Association

Good causes distributor the Big Lottery Fund has awarded £39,577 to the Cart y Plwyf Association in Denbighshire North Wales to provide a community transport scheme for the isolated rural areas of Peniel, Prion, Natglyn and Saron. The cash will be used for a 16-seater mini bus and training for volunteer drivers.

New youth volunteering charity receives funding

A new youth volunteering charity has received £3.5 million from seven funding partners. The as yet unnamed charity plans to develop volunteering activities for 16 to 25-year-olds across England. The funders are phone company T-Mobile, accountants KPMG, television stations MTV and Sky, retailer Tesco and charity the Hunter Foundation.
