Dome square
10 December 2004

Due to open in 2007, the scheme would form a canopied link between the Dome entrance and North Greenwich station. The design by Barr Gazetas has a 56 metre-high mast and slots into an overall masterplan by Terry Farrell and Partners. Government regeneration agency English Partnerships and private firms are running the scheme.

Young view of Leeds life
10 December 2004
A group of youth club members aged between 11 and 18 have spoken out about what they think of their local neighbourhood through a story of art to be displayed in the heart of a 'no-go' area of Leeds. Inspired by the East Park Community Association, set up four years ago by local people in a bid to halt the rot of the Richmond Hill, Cross Green and East End Park areas of Leeds, seven young people last week completed a three-week project to portray, through imagery, how they perceive their area. Using a variety of media, they produced a collage of graffiti, burnt-out cars and run-down housing as their interpretation of where they live. Their work will be displayed in a newly-opened community centre.
