Regeneration News brief: Arup commissioned for waterfront development in Bradford

Consultancy Arup has been commissioned to look into the potential for reopening the Bradford Canal and developing the city's waterfront. The regeneration would include leisure facilities and new housing. British Waterways, Bradford City Council and urban regeneration company Bradford Centre Regeneration commissioned the study, with support from the INTERREG funding programme. If the scoping study has a positive outcome, a full feasibility study into reopening it will be commissioned.

Physical Regeneration Brief: Urban Splash announces increase in profits

Property developer Urban Splash has announced a 52 per cent increase in profits. Over a 16-month period to 31 March 2004, it made £6.3 million and the value of its assets increased by 68 per cent to £30.4 million. Forthcoming projects include Lister Mills in Bradford and the Royal William Yard in Plymouth.
