More than 200 people visited St Augustine's Tower in east London last week to have their experiences recorded for an online project. Artists collective Slowfall Projects hosted the participatory arts project at the tower - the oldest building in Hackney - with the aim of bringing the local community together. The four-day event allowed people to share their personal recollections of the tower and make up stories of what might have happened there. Members of the artists collective recorded the tales. Scottish News: Cash secured for bold turbine plan

The next step in developing what could be the world's largest offshore wind farm has been taken with the announcement of £6 million of public funding. The Scottish Executive and the DTI are each contributing £3 million towards the project for the Beatrice field in the Moray Firth, 19km off the coast and 121km north-west of Aberdeen.
