New European funding worth £20 million has been awarded to 91 projects across the west of Scotland. The grants, from three European programmes, will be used to promote economic growth, attract tourism and develop community initiatives. Funding of £244,707 has been awarded to the local tourist board to conduct a marketing campaign to promote Loch Lomond (above) and the Trossachs area as a destination for UK and international visitors. Funding also went to the Rosemount Flexible Learning and Literacy Centre in Royston.
