The redevelopment of a redundant factory building in Nottingham has been completed. The £2.5 million scheme for Castle Cavendish Works was funded by the government's New Deal for Communities programme and took nine months to complete. The Victorian building had become a target for vandalism, but it now provides 1,300sq m of offices and workspace designed to help start-up and expanding companies in the area. The redevelopment has conserved much of the original structure, while at the same time providing electronic infrastructure to support latest technology.
