It found that ratings of the competence of economic management is the single biggest factor in determining the popularity of governments. MOVES: Appointment at Housing Corporation

9 January 2004

Government regulatory body the Housing Corporation has appointed Diane Walton to lead a new team. The corporation's North-West and Merseyside teams will be merged to deliver investment as one regional team for the North-West. Walton is currently assistant director of investment for the Manchester region, but will take on responsibility for the North-West region following the merger in April.
