The Coalfields Regeneration Trust in Scotland is to receive more than £1.5 million to fund its work this year, regeneration agency Communities Scotland has announced. The funding will be used to tackle social, educational and economic barriers in former coalmining communities in parts of Ayrshire, the Lothians, Fife, Central Scotland, Clydesdale and Strathkelvin.
