King Sturge has been appointed to advise on regenerating the former GKN North Works site at East Cowes by the South East England Development Agency. The agency has bought the 8ha site on behalf of Cowes Waterfront, a partnership between the Isle of Wight Economic Development Partnership and Isle of Wight Council. The site is part of a scheme to regenerate Cowes and the Medina Valley as a yachting, business and tourist centre. It was originally used to make seaplanes and hovercraft.

JMP Consultants are to carry out a consultation of young people in Norfolk in an attempt to determine the effects of transport availability on their choice of further education. The post-16 transport study, commissioned by Norfolk County Council, will be carried out among groups at schools and sixth form colleges and youngsters not currently studying. As well as identifying the extent to which transport provision influences the choice of course and place of education, JMP will also advise on the most effective methods to achieve better access to further education in the county.
