The High Court has supported an inspector's decision to grant planning permission for the expansion of a nursing home in Walthamstow, concluding that the amenity of neighbours would be protected by the National Care Standards Commission's supervision of admissions criteria. Mr Justice Sullivan concluded that the inspector had been entitled to take this factor into account.
